HOW TO USE HOMEOPATHY

In the 3 series of facts and fiction related to homeopathy medicine, this is the part one presented by Medella Wellness natural health clinic, a renowned homeopathy Toowoomba clinic.

FICTION:

You must not use Homeopathy with:

  • Food, coffee, deodorant, perfume, smoking, garlic and wine.
  • Don’t put the dose in the hand.
  • Don’t use with an electric blanket.

FACTS:

Foods and spices do not affect Homeopathy as long as one does not chew both the remedy and food together. Deodorant and perfume cause little effect. Again, with wine and alcoholic beverages, do not ingest together. Long ago it was believed that coffee neutralized the remedy, but in 40 years, I have never observed this to happen.

I have never observed a smoker receive any less response to Homeopathy than a non-smoker. Many take remedies to help stop the smoking habit.

As the dose in the hand is intended for the same person, it is ok to place the dose in the hand. Granted, the hands should be kept clean while handling the remedies. A hand not covered in perfume from a recent application is preferable. I do not agree with the instruction most often given to place a dose in the lid or cap of the bottle and dump the remedy into the mouth. The possibility of touching the mouth or breathing on the lid, contaminates it and therefore the bottle when replaced.

In 40 years I have never have had anyone mention a problem with a lack of response while using an electric blanket.

Over the years, out of the ones that have called me, I have had few persons say they have not had a response. Of course, these are only the ones that called me to tell me how they are.

FACTS:

Do not use with camphor, menthol products, and toothpaste.

When necessary to use these substances wait 15 minutes before or after to take a remedy. If children do not like menthol products, do not force them to use them. With Homeopathy, menthol products become unnecessary.

Extreme heat is not good for Homeopathic packages of remedies.

Keep your remedies in a clean jar in an upper kitchen cabinet when not in use.

Men, do not carry the packet in your pocket with coins. Use a separate pocket. Women, carry your packet in a clean little separate container, something similar to an eyeglass case, in your purse.

If you decide to transfer your packet to a bottle, you must use a new clean bottle that has never been used for anything else, especially other medicines or peppermint candies. Buy new bottles from a herbal or an aroma therapy shop.

When using the remedy, shake from the packet into your palm or into the water, do not dip your finger inside the packet. Use every effort to avoid contaminating your packets of remedies. There may be an occasion for others to use them.

One dose is 5 or 6 little pellets. There is no need to actually count. It is a reminder that less works best. A dose several times a day is the method I was taught. Place on or under the tongue to melt through the saliva glands (found in the entire mouth) and it goes from there to the brain. (It takes less than 3 minutes).

Homeopathy does not use the process of digestion. Digestion causes a limited or no response. Homeopathy was originally meant to be applied to the inside of the mouth. This is what the founder taught over 200 years ago. We have since learned, when in water, it may be placed on the inner skin of the arms or neck as an easy and successful method of dosing.
